Tata Communications joins Microsoft in Connected Car Space
Tata communications and Microsoft now partnered to work on the connected car applications.
The solution will help the automotive manufacturers to offer secure driving experiences, says the announcement. The telecommunications company will be bringing its Internet of Things connectivity platform MOVE to the project.
The MOVE platform offers the network independent, cross border connectivity to help the enterprises deliver IoT services at a faster pace, said the announcement.

That’s what our latest collaboration with Microsoft is all about – we want to pave the way for new disruptive connected car services."Partner Group Program Manager, Microsoft Connected Vehicle Platform and Mobility, Microsoft, Tara Prakriya, said, "Connectivity through the Tata Communications MOVE™ platform, together with the Microsoft Connected Vehicle Platform’s secure and compliant cloud platform, ensures the security and integrity of data across a range of scenarios, including predictive maintenance, remote monitoring and control, and advanced navigation. The integration will make analysing data from vehicles easier for car manufacturers across all services and allow them to complete software updates quickly. It will also help service centres maintain vehicles more effectively."
Microsoft and Tata Communication Collaboration
In March, Renault-Nissan Alliance and Microsoft signed a multiyear global agreement to advance connected driving experiences.Microsoft's partnership with Tata Communications will help in accelerating the development of the connected car by making sure the integrity and security of data.
Tata Communications, Mumbai based company, will build a proof of concept solution. The company will integrate the Microsoft Connected Vehicle Platform with MOVE platform's IoT connectivity and network intelligence capabilities, to show how their joint capabilities will accelerate the creation of new connected car applications, notes the announcement.
With this partnership, Tata Communications is trying to enable automotive manufacturers to offer seamless and secure driving experiences.
