Mirantis to Offer Upgraded Certified OpenStack Administrator (COA) Exam for OpenStack Rocky release

Mirantis recently revealed that it is offering the resources to the OpenStack Foundation, which includes becoming the new administrators of the upgraded Certified OpenStack Administrator (COA) exam.

OpenStack Foundation is a non-profit organization that oversees both the community building and development around the project.

Mirantis is a pure-play OpenStack company, delivering all the services, software, support, and training which is needed for running the OpenStack. The company addresses challenges with running Kubernetes on-premises with pure open-source software.

Executive Opinion

COO of the OpenStack Foundation, Mark Collier, said, "With the OpenStack market forecasted to grow to $7.7 billion by 2022 according to 451 research, the demand for Certified OpenStack Administrators is clearly strong and set to continue growing for many years to come. We are excited to collaborate with Mirantis, who has stepped up to provide the resources needed to manage the COA, including the administration of the vendor-neutral OpenStack certification exam."

Certified OpenStack Administrator Exam

The Certified OpenStack Administrator is now made available for the Rocky release of Openstack. 

OpenStack Foundation is the only organization offering COA exams. The exam is designed for OpenStack professionals with a minimum of six months of experience in managing the OpenStack cloud.

At the milestone of three years of the COA offering, around 3000 professionals across the 70+ countries have appeared for the exam. Thus creating and offering the qualified talent that meets the growing number of the OpenStack opportunities for the job, notes the announcement.

The exam aims to create an ecosystem of OpenStack training professionals. There are now more than dozens of OpenStack training providers across the globe.
