Accenture acquires AI/ML, Big Data firm Pragsis Bidoop

Accenture announced the acquisition of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Big Data specialized firm, Pragsis Bidoop. The financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed.

Founded in 2004 and headquartered at Madrid, Spain, Pragsis Bidoop, has Ibex-35 clients in Spain and major player in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Big data market in Spain. The company specializes in service provisioning for corporations in a range of industries, from banking and insurance to retail, energy, railway, public sector, and pharma. The company has raised Euro 2 Million in two funding rounds, according to CrunchBase.

Accenture's acquisition of Pragsis Bidoop

Pragsis Bidoop brings deep machine learning, artificial intelligence, and big data engineering talent to Accenture’s Applied Intelligence business.  The acquisition helps Accenture offer its enterprise clients to scale AI, analytics and automation deployments to make data-driven decisions, the announcement notes. Accenture's Applied Intelligence has more than 20,000 AI and data science professionals.

Accenture also gets an edge in European and Latin American markets with Pragsis Bidoop acquisition. The acquisition enhances Accenture's digital transformation framework Industry X.0 with newer data solutions. These big data and AI solutions for digital twins, machine learning to optimize manufacturing processes, and advanced predictive models to reduce errors and maintenance costs, the announcement notes.
