GridGain Joins Cloud Native Computing Foundation and The Linux Foundation


GridGain Systems recently announced that it has joined the open source software foundation, Cloud Native Computing Solutions (CNCF) and the supporter of open source ecosystems, The Linux Foundation.

GridGrain is showing its support for the CNCF by getting its silver membership. GridGain also noted that the company will be participating in the CNCF’s programs and provide guidance related to supporting cloud-native applications.

GridGain Systems is a provider of enterprise-grade in-memory computing solutions. Based on Apache Ignite, Gridgain also witnesses worldwide deployments in AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud Platform, Huawei Cloud.

CNCF is an open source software foundation. It aims to make cloud-native computing universal and sustainable. More than 400 enterprises are a part of CNCF as its members. The CNCF members also include the world’s largest public cloud and enterprise software companies and dozens of innovative startups.

Apache Ignite and GridGrain are generally deployed in the cloud, using Kubernetes for orchestration and Docker for containerization. GridGrain has been made available in the AWS, Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Marketplaces and is routinely deployed on the leading cloud platforms worldwide.

In March 2019, GridGain Systems also released its GridGain Community Edition (GCE) making production-ready Apache Ignite available to the public.
