Crypto startups, DX Exchange and Perlin Network, claims anyone can Buy Traditional Stocks in Tokenized form

DX Exchange and Perlin Network announced their collaboration to allow retail investors around the world to own part of traditional stocks and securities from global equity markets. This is achieved by tokenizing the major stocks and trading on their platform.

Built on Nasdaq’s market-leading matching engine and market surveillance technology, DX.Exchange is a digital assets exchange (crypto exchange) that allows institutions and individuals to buy & sell cryptocurrencies, digital stocks and digital ETF’s with crypto or fiat.

According to the announcement, around 50% of people living in the United States currently own stocks, while in India and Indonesia stock ownership sits at less than 1-2%. Investors in these emerging markets own only a tiny portion of global blue chip companies.

Executive Opinion

CEO of Perlin, Dorjee Sun, said, "Perlin is already actively working to create greater economic inclusion by providing a new stream of passive income for users on our distributed cloud platform in struggling communities around the world. We will further disrupt the status quo by aggressively leveraging our established networks in India, Indonesia, and other emerging economies to support greater user adoption for DX Exchange - including by letting Perlin users to directly trade tokenized stocks on their ground-breaking platform."

CEO of DX Exchange, Daniel Skowronski, said, "We are incredibly excited to be collaborating with Perlin with its experienced business team, the world-leading crew of developers, and disruptive distributed technology. Their mission to empower struggling communities globally lines up perfectly with our own mission to open up both traditional equity and emerging digital asset markets to people everywhere regardless of their socio-economic circumstances. Together DX Exchange and Perlin can trade the untradeable."

Tokenization Benefits

Digitizing the assets in token form brings a lot of advantages such as 24/7 access to markets, greater liquidity to asset owners, lower transaction costs, faster automated settlement, augmented compliance check security, and a range of smart contract functionality yet to be fully explored.

It is possible that tokenization of traditional assets allows anyone to buy an ownership interest in something less than 1 share in a company and further lowers the entry barriers for retail investors around the world to own global blue chip stocks and securities such as Apple, Facebook, Tesla, Microsoft, Amazon, Netflix, etc, claims the announcement.
