AlphaPoint Launches its support For Stellar lumens (XLM)

AlphaPoint recently announced its support to lumens (XLM), the native asset of the Stellar network.

AlphaPoint is FinTech and blockchain company focused on enabling institutions to launch, scale, and operate digital asset exchanges globally. AlphaPoint claims to support over a dozen protocols and hundreds of coins. It also claims to support one million transactions per second with their proprietary distributed ledger technology.

In September 2018, AlphaPoint offered Crypto Indexes and technology to Create Smart Baskets.

The Stellar Development Foundation maintains Stellar open network. It allows for any currency or asset to be digitally issued, transferred, and exchanged over the internet. The accounts and network operations are done with the help of Lumens (XLM). Lumens works as a bridge asset between pairs of different currencies. XLM contribute to the network’s ability to move money around the world and to conduct transactions between different currencies quickly and securely.

With AlphaPoint's collaboration with Stellar Development Foundation and the integration with Stellar Lumens will allow AlphaPoint-powered exchanges to support support trading with fiat, cryptocurrency pairings and further allow deposit, withdrawal, custody of lumens.

Director of Partnerships, Stellar Development Foundation, Lisa Nestor, said, “We’re excited about our collaboration with AlphaPoint as it will increase access to Stellar, bring more liquidity to XLM, and ultimately help grow our ecosystem."

The announcement claims that already 10 of AlphaPoint-powered exchanges have piloted lumen support and started XLM trading.
