Rackspace Partnered with VMware to Deliver the Future of Multi-Cloud

Rackspace has launched its Managed VMware Cloud on AWS. It is a part of Rackspace's expansion strategy to deliver Private Cloud as a Service (PCaaS) portfolio for its multi-cloud effort.

Rackspace is focusing on to deliver modern IT as a service for its customers. It is offering unbiased, multi-cloud expertise, an unrivaled portfolio of cloud services, and familiar automation and management tools. Rackspace provides tools and technologies to solve many of the multi-cloud challenges. The challenges include multi-cloud operations, including standard workflows, consistent APIs, easier access to native services across clouds, simpler geographical expansion, compliance with data sovereignty policies and business continuity, cost-effective disaster recovery and on-demand flexible capacity.

Rackspace's Private Cloud as a Service portfolio helps customers with new ways of deploying workloads across public and private clouds in any location, using a single, industry-standard set of tools and processes. Now with release of Managed VMware Cloud on AWS it has expanded its Private Cloud as a Service (PCaaS) portfolio. There are many workloads that are still running in VMware environment either in  private data centers or hosted in a geo-specific location. VMware Cloud on AWS delivers greater flexibility for customers to run each VMware workload on AWS a.long with the consistency of a unified infrastructure that bridges private and public clouds.

Rackspace will deliver common cloud APIs to any type of cloud resource. The announcement further states, "These options combine to simplify procedures across multiple clouds for customers. Notabely, in June 1028,  Rackspace parterned with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) to launch VMware based industry’s first Private Cloud-as-a-Service (PCaaS), with pay per use infrastructure.
