Tech Mahindra to leverage Amazon Managed Blockchain Services to build Blockchain Solutions

India based IT giant Tech Mahindra today announced the launch of Blockchain Solution offerings leveraging Amazon Managed Blockchain services.

Tech Mahindra already offers solutions based on AWS and it is an AWS Partner Network (APN) Advanced Consulting Partner.

In May 2019, Amazon Web Services announced the availability of fully managed blockchain service, Amazon Managed Blockchain. It is based on open source frameworks like Hyperledger Fabric and Ethereum. AWS claims its blockchain platform scales to support thousands of applications and millions of transactions.

Blockchain and Cybersecurity Practice Leader, Tech Mahindra, Rajesh Dhuddu, said, "Global businesses are facing sustained headwinds and struggling to collectively navigate and strategize in this new, unchartered territory and facilitate business continuity in the current COVID world.Ensuring supply chain continuity is paramount and needs more attention in the coming times. Tech Mahindra's blockchain solutions will be available through the AWS marketplace. The company intends to offer blockchain solutions in aviation and aerospace, telecom supply chain, and healthcare supply chain domains.

The company intends to build and market several blockchain solutions in market segments. In the next 12 to 18 months, the company will blockchain solutions in Banking and Financial Services, Telecom, Retail, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Travel and Logistics, and Healthcare segments, notes the announcement.

In August 2019, Tech Mahindra partnered the Adjoint to offer a blockchain solution for the insurance and financial management services.

In October 2019, Tech Mahindra also partnered with the Quantoz, a blockchain-based solution provider, to offer the Blockchain as a Service for the secure digital payments.
