HPE launches HPE GreenLake Central, an Operational Console-as-a-Service Offering

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) recently announced the launch of its HPE GreenLake Central, a unified operational console for the public, private clouds, the data center, and edge workloads.

Part of HPE’s strategy to deliver its entire edge-to-cloud portfolio as-a-Service, HPE GreenLake Central brings in a consistent cloud experience for all applications and data to manage hybrid IT infrastructure.

Last year, HPE introduced HPE GreenLake Hybrid Cloud, a managed cloud service to help customers manage their on-premise and off-premise clouds.

President and CEO, HPE, Antonio Neri, said, "HPE GreenLake Central is a transformative platform that changes the game in hybrid IT. With this offering, every user in a company gains access to a unique console from which to run their organization and achieve powerful business outcomes. Now the CIO can operate as a strategic service broker, and everyone benefits from a consistent cloud experience, resulting in lower costs and risks, and greater choice, control, simplicity, and speed."

Provided as-a-Service, HPE GreenLake Central console to direct and drive digital transformation initiatives at organizations.

CIOs can monitor and take action on a range of KPIs, including security, capacity, cost, compliance, and resource utilization, notes the announcement.

CFO can get a real-time snapshot of technology spend across the hybrid (read on-premise and cloud environments) infrastructure. At the same time, legal and security teams can get an integrated view into the governance and security status of an organization’s hybrid IT infrastructure

As of now, HPE GreenLake Central is available on trial. HPE GreenLake clients will be generally available at the end of HPE specific Q1 2020, notes the announcement.
