Salesforce selects Microsoft Azure as its public cloud provider for Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Salesforce recently announced a partnership with Microsoft and selects Microsoft Azure as its public cloud provider for Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

In an announcement, Salesforce also introduced its plans to integrate Salesforce's Sales Cloud and Service Cloud with Microsoft Teams.

By bringing together the power of Azure and Microsoft Teams with Salesforce, our aim is to help businesses harness the power of Microsoft Cloud to better serve customers."

Salesforce's move to Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform

The move will possibly help Salesforce to scale its Marketing Cloud capacity based on customer demands. The company also achieves local data security, privacy and compliance requirements by leveraging the Azure cloud platform.

Salesforce's planned integration with Microsoft Teams will allow Sales and service users to search, view and share Salesforce records directly within Teams. The planned integration will be available by late 2020

The announcement also noted that the move to the Microsoft Azure platform puts Salesforce in the line with 95 percent of fortune 500 companies leveraging the Microsoft Azure platform.
