TCS and SAP Bring IoT and Blockchain Solution to Health care Surgical Kit Handling

TCS and SAP have partnered to launch SAP Leonardo powered Intelligent Field Inventory Management (iFIM) solution.

IoT (Internet of Things) and blockchain technologies are used in newly introduced solution to help medical device manufacturers to streamline surgical kit handling.

TCS's Intelligent Field Inventory Management (iFIM) solution helps already highly fragmented supply chain process of distributing Surgical kits to hospitals, collecting unused surgical kits from the inventory, ensuring surgical kit's efficacy and sterility along with their right delivery, notes the announcement.

Medical / Health care Surgical Kit Handling with an IoT and Blockchain Solution

Internet of Things (IoT) technologies is used to build traceability of inventory while blockchain technology is used to enable greater visibility of that inventory among manufacturers, distributors/representatives and hospitals.

SAP Leonardo IoT business and technical services enable TCS's iFIM solution to integrate with core systems. It also helps meeting business scale requirements of the life sciences supply chain. The solution further helps in improving patient outcomes, optimize field inventory and meet regulatory compliances, says the announcement.
