Conduent Announces Global Blockchain Technology Hackathon


Conduent announced that it will be conducting Global Blockchain Technology Hackathon.
To conduct its Global blockchain Hackathon, Conduent partnered with HackerEarth.

To strenghten Conduent's investments in blockchain technology innovation, Conduent is conducting a series of hackathons in India. The first hackathon was conducted on 12th April 2019.

Conduent Labs is focusing on emerging technologies and along with it is developing and incubating innovative services. The company thinks that India has the highest number of blockchain developers in the world. It is trying to proliferate blockchain technology by helping build blockchain applications by bringing more developers as a part of its hackathon initiative.

The announcement said, "This initiative provides an opportunity to collaborate with over 2.5 million developers and find path-breaking solutions through a community-powered hackathon."

Hackathon Details

Each hackathon has two parts.

Part I: a six-week virtual event that will crowdsource ideas for blockchain solutions.
This stage starts on 12 Apr 2019, 05:00 PM IST till 02 Jun 2019, 11:59 PM IST

Part II: Shortlisted ideas will be invited to participate in a 36-hour, no-sleep onsite event in Bengaluru, India on June 22-23 to further work on their original proposed idea.
This stage starts on Jun 22, 2019, 08:00 AM IST till Jun 23, 2019, 08:00 PM IST

The company also listed key themes of the hackathon. These theses are Incentive systems for social behavioural change, Blockchain for a shared economy, Smart properties, Transparent interactions with the Government and Delegative voting systems.

The top awarded prize will be INR 3,00,000 and total prizes up to INR 6,00,000. The company announcement also said that it will conduct a similar event across the U.S.
