Canvs, an Artificial Intelligence Enabled Consumer Insights Platform, to power CBS Television Research

CBS Corporation has announced that it has partnered with Canvs to use artificial intelligence (AI) technology to help them unlock insights from everyday language.

CBS plans to integrate Canvs Surveys, the only AI (Artificial Intelligence) powered topical and emotional analysis platform that helps in automating the coding of open-ended responses to survey questions.

CBS Corporation is a mass media company that creates and distributes industry-leading content across a variety of platforms to audiences around the world. CBS also is the most-watched television network in the U.S.

Canvs is the industry standard with expertise in understanding how people respond to the content. Its patented semantic AI and machine learning systems help them understand how people feel, why they feel that way, and the business impact created for brands, agencies, and media companies.

CBS television already conducts around 6000 individual surveys during their pilot testing through their consumer research and analytics facility in Las Vegas, the announcement noted. However, this traditional survey process is time-consuming and CBS plans to automate this process. CBS believes and notes that such automation increases the number of insights obtained and gives them an ability to contextualize survey responses.
