Major Cloud Security Vendors Integrate with AWS security HUB

At recent Amazon Web Services re:Invent, AWS unveiled AWS Security Hub on its cloud services platform.

AWS Security Hub in Brief

It allows businesses to manage compliances with security standards and best practices, analysis of security trends in their AWS environment and further helps in indentifying high-priority security issues.

"When you enable Security Hub, it immediately begins consuming, aggregating, organizing, and prioritizing findings from AWS services, such as Amazon GuardDuty, Amazon Inspector, and Amazon Macie, and from AWS partner security solutions. Security Hub also generates its own findings as the result of running automated and continuous compliance checks using AWS best practices and supported industry standards (in this release, CIS AWS Foundations), " Security Hub product page notes, "Security Hub then correlates findings across providers to help you prioritize the most significant ones and consolidates these findings into actionable graphs and tables"

AWS Security Hub comes with support for third-party security providers, many of which have already signed up to the service.

Cloud Security Vendors

Major security companies such as Trend Micro Inc., McAfee LLC, Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., Tenable Inc., and Sumo Logic Inc have announced their solutions are now integrated with AWS security hub.

Checkpoint announced its technology integration along with the addition of Dome9 to the CloudGuard portfolio with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security Hub will allow enterprises to access multi-layered security and nearly continuous compliance capabilities from the central console of AWS Security Hub.

Fortinet said it will use security intelligence from AWS Security Hub allowing customers to form a consistent on- and off-cloud security posture view.  The findings are then visually summarized on integrated dashboards with actionable graphs and tables.

Armor also announced deeper security insights and context to AWS customers by feeding vulnerability scan and malware detection information into the AWS Security Hub data repository.

Tenable said its integration with Amazon AWS security hub will help customers to manage and reduce cyber attack risks in AWS enviornment by discovering and assessing cloud infrastructure assets for vulnerabilities.

Trend Micro confirmed that it will integrate by sending key security events to the new AWS Security Hub.

The collected data by cybersecurity solution is then visually summarized on integrated dashboards with actionable graphs and tables.

By launching AWS security hub and on-boarding top players in cybersecurity, Amazon has ensured that AWS customers have many options to choose from to secure their cloud infrastructure deployments inside AWS environment. It further enhances overall AWS infrastructure security.
