IBM Cloud Private capabilities are available for IBM Cloud Managed Services

IBM Cloud Managed Services synchs with IBM Cloud Private for Next-Gen Application Development making capabilities of IBM Cloud Private available for IBM Cloud Managed Services (CMS).

IBM has announced that it is enabling its enterprise Cloud Managed Services (CMS) to sync with IBM Cloud Private platform. IBM customers who are using CMS will now able to help extend their capabilities and maximise existing investments.

As a part of hybrid cloud strategy, IBM released its new solution IBM Cloud Private (ICP) based on Kubernetes and containers in late 2017. It was designed to help rapidly build, modernize and deploy the application in client managed environment.  ICP can be installed on a wide range of enterprise systems to create a private cloud with an architecture and capabilities consistent with the public IBM Cloud.

Regulated industries can reap benefits of IBM Cloud Private due to the combination of innovation, flexibility, and control. These industries demand high standards of security and reliability. Hundreds of world-leading banks, airlines and government organizations already rely on IBM Cloud Managed Services for managing enterprise applications on security-rich clouds.

IBM Cloud Managed Services (CMS) offers security-rich and production-ready cloud environment to its customers. CMS already offers built-in security, disaster recovery, and automated infrastructure and application management, a key requirement for enterprise environments.

IBM Cloud Private platform also offers access to IBM's analytics, data, middleware and Watson portfolios.

By marrying IBM Private Cloud with Cloud Managed Services (CMS) allows IBM to help customers leverage latest cloud-native DevOps capabilities of ICP and provide the security, flexibility, speed they need to compete in the most dynamic markets, accelerating time to market for innovative, cloud-native applications, the announcement said.

IBM Cloud Private running on CMS will be fully operational by July 2018 and will be fully supported by IBM services.
